The Gotham Writers Literary/Commercial Fiction Conference was held online from November 18 to November 19. Sponsored by the Gotham Writers Workshop, the event was open to fiction and nonfiction writers as well as graphic novelists and graphic memoirists. Programming included panels, presentations, and, for fiction writers, pitching roundtables with literary agents, including one session which was held in person at the Gotham Writers headquarters. The faculty included fiction writer Mateo Askaripour. Participating agents included Keir Alekseii (Azantian Literary Agency), Sian-Ashleigh Edwards (WME) Sarah Khalil (Calligraph Literary Agency), Dani Segelbaum (Carol Mann Agency), and Alexa Stark (Writers House). Fiction writer Ann Napolitano was featured in a keynote interview. The cost of the conference was $160 for panels and presentations, $425 for the pitching roundtables, or $525 for both. To apply for the conference, writers submitted a query and the first 10 pages of a manuscript-in-progress.
