The 2024 Kauai Writers Conference will be held from November 11 to November 17 at the Royal Sonesta Resort on Kalapaki Beach in Kauai, Hawai’i. The event features a three-day conference, master classes, one-on-one agent sessions, and publishing consultations for poets, fiction writers, and nonfiction writers. Participating writers include poets Billy Collins, Panio Gianopoulos, Rachel Eliza Griffiths, and Marie Howe; fiction writers Jane Green, Lauren Groff, Sadeqa Johnson, Mary Beth Keane, Christina Baker Kline, Jean Kwok, Laura Lentz, Paula McLain, Joshua Mohr, Priya Parmar, and Meg Wolitzer; fiction writers Tom Perrotta and Amanda Eyre Ward; fiction and nonfiction writers Nicholas Delbanco, Mark Kurlansky, John Searles, and Jess Walter; and nonfiction writer Zibby Owens. Participating publishing professionals include Lisa Sharkey (HarperCollins); agents Ryan Harbage (Fischer-Harbage Agency), Barbara Jones (Stuart Krichevsky Literary Agency), Kirby Kim (Janklow & Nesbit), Lisa Leshne (Leshne Agency), Andy Ross (Andy Ross Literary Agency), Wendy Sherman (Wendy Sherman Associates), Andrea Somberg (Harvey Klinger Literary Agency), and Michelle Tessler (Tessler Literary Agency); and editors Dawn Davis (Simon & Schuster), Leigh Haber (O, The Oprah Magazine), Kevin Larimer (Poets & Writers), Heidi Pitlor (Heidi Pitlor Editorial), Brooke Warner (Seal Press), and Kara Watson (Simon & Schuster). The cost of the three-day conference, which includes lectures, performances, and small-group craft workshops, is $795; individual master classes cost $795 each. One-on-one agent sessions and publishing consultations are available for $95 each, and a ticket to the beachfront luau on November 16 is $129. Meal plans, which cover breakfast and lunch each day, range from $270 to $595 depending on the number of days chosen.
