The 2022 Lighthouse Sessions Men’s Retreat was held from August 14 to August 19 for poets, fiction writers, nonfiction writers, and translators at the Whitehead Light Station, a lighthouse in Tenants Harbor, Maine. The retreat featured daily writing sessions on an individual and group level, coaching on how to read your work aloud, nightly wrap-ups, reflections, and a lobster bake. The cost of the retreat was $2,035 (for a shared double room) or $2,535 (for a single room) and included five nights lodging in what was previously the lighthouse keeper’s home, all meals, and boat transportation to and from the Light Station. The retreat featured morning yoga sessions, daily themed writing groups, coaching on giving and receiving feedback, evening gatherings, boat rides, fishing and other outdoor activities, and a lobster bake. Faculty included poet and nonfiction writer Nancy Coleman and fiction and nonfiction writer Dulcie Witman. The cost of the retreat was $2,535 and included six nights lodging in a shared double room in what was previously the lighthouse keeper’s home, all meals, and boat transportation to and from the Light Station.
