The Arteles Creative Center Fall Into Focus Residency Program offers one- or two-month residencies to poets, fiction writers, nonfiction writers, and translators from September to November in the countryside region of Hämeenkyrö, Finland. Creative writers age 23 and over are eligible. Each resident is provided with a private bedroom and working desk as well as access to shared kitchens, bathrooms, and studio spaces in two residency buildings. The residency also offers access to a range of facilities, including a library, a meditation space, a sauna, and common areas. A car, a rowing boat, and bicycles are available for transportation and exploration. The cost of the residency is €1,950 (approximately $2,117); there is limited availability for a reduced fee of €1,270 (approximately $1,379) based on financial need. To apply, submit a link to an online portfolio or a writing sample of 5 to 10 pages of poetry, prose, or an English translation of work in either genre, along with a brief bio by May 2.
