The 2023 Jackson Hole Writers Conference was held from June 22 to June 24 at the Jackson Hole Center for the Arts in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, with the option to attend virtually. The conference featured workshops, lectures, readings, and manuscript critiques for poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers. The featured speakers included poet Kate Northrop; poet and nonfiction writer Steve Coughlin; fiction writers Jonathan Evison and Kali Fajardo-Anstine; and nonfiction writers Ted Conover, Dave Eggers, Chris La Tray, Robert Righter, and Sherry L. Smith. Participating publishing professionals included agents Kimberley Cameron (Kimberley Cameron & Associates), Soumeya Roberts (HG Literary), Will Roberts (Gernert Company), and Katharine Sands (Sarah Jane Freymann Literary Agency); and editor Katie Raissian (Grove Atlantic). Tuition to attend in person or virtually was $400 through May 12 and $440 thereafter. All keynotes and workshops could be attended virtually. Lodging was available at area hotels and inns for discounted rates. One-on-one manuscript consultations were available for an additional $75 to $150, depending on the length of the critique; writers registered by May 25.
