Author's Bio

Elizabeth Boquet was born in New Hampshire and currently lives in Lausanne, Switzerland, with her husband, a watchmaker, near their two grown children. Some people play video games, or the cello; she plays poetry. When she’s not writing, she teaches English as a Second Language, translates FR-EN, and holds poetry workshops.

Her prose and over thirty of her poems have appeared in various literary journals and magazines. Her first poetry collection, GALOSHES, was published in October 2020. Naomi Shihab Nye awarded her a Geneva Writers’ Literary Prize (2nd place) in 2017, and she was shortlisted by Billy Collins for the Fish Poetry Prize in 2021 and long-listed in 2023. Her current manuscript was a finalist for the Pitt Poetry Series 2022, University of Pittsburgh Press, and is looking for a home.
