Author's Bio

Emily Stoddard is a poet and nonfiction writer in Michigan. Her debut book of poetry, Divination with a Human Heart Attached, will be released in February 2023. Her poems and essays have appeared or are forthcoming in Tupelo Quarterly, The Baltimore Review, Ruminate, Belt Magazine, Nimrod International Journal, and elsewhere.

In 2021, Emily received the Developmental Editing Fellowship in creative nonfiction from the Kenyon Review. She's at work on a book-length nonfiction project, parts of which were a finalist for the 2022 Iowa Review Award.

In addition to her own writing, Emily supports fellow writers as an affiliate of the Amherst Writers & Artists Method. She also created and coordinates the Poetry Bulletin, a resource for poets at work on a manuscript.
