Mark has received awards for his poetry from the Academy of American Poets, University of California at Berkeley (Dorothy Rosenberg Prize in Lyric Poetry, Ina Coolbrith Memorial Poetry Prize, Joan Lee Yang Memorial Poetry Prize, Sylvia and Irving Wallace Prize for Poetry, Elizabeth Mills Crothers Prize in Literary Composition), San Francisco Arts Commission, Seattle Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts. He is the recipient of three Pushcart Prize nominations. His book, Best Evidence, was awarded an Honorable Mention for Best Book of Poetry in 2021 by Winning Writers.
