Author's Bio

Ranney Campbell is a former journalist and freelance writer and author and artist of the poetry chapbooks, "Pimp," and "Charcoal and Ink," and author of the poetry chapbooks, "the desert so," and "Caddish." Her BA with concentrations in psychology and American politics and MFA in fiction are from the University of Missouri at St. Louis.

PHOTO: On the back porch of Brown's in the Hyde Park Neighborhood of St. Louis, where Campbell's father fought Golden Gloves and, on the night in 1985 this picture was taken, her brother played lead guitar in the death metal band, Karcass.
