Author's Bio

Vanesha Pravin is the author of DISORDER (University of Chicago Press, 2015) and GOLD COUNTRY (Cleveland State University Poetry Center, 2026).  She is the 2015 recipient of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences’ Sarton Prize and the Northern California Independent Booksellers Association:  Golden Poppy Book Award. Her work has been anthologized in The Book of Poetry for Hard Times (Norton), and her poems have appeared in Slate, Seneca Review, New Letters, Pleiades, Mid-American Review, Poetry Daily, Callaloo, Cimarron Review, Crab Orchard Review, Great River Review, Hanging Loose, Many Mountains Moving, Phoebe, and elsewhere. She teaches at the University of California.
