Katherine Higgs-Coulthard will read from Junkyard Dogs. Published in 2023, the book is suspenseful and gut-wrenching story of an unhoused teenager struggling to survive a criminal scrapping ring while unraveling a dark family history. Kat is a graduate of University of Nebraska at Omaha and the author She is an associate professor of Education at Saint Mary’s College and Director of Michiana Writers' Center. She lives in Niles, Michigan.
