The program embraces commercial genre fiction (science fiction, fantasy, horror, crime, young adult, and more) and literary experimentation equally. It has no peer review workshops—instead it offers professional editorial feedback in a masterclass setting, supported by extensive one-to-one mentoring. Further professional development options such as teaching, community engagement, and digital publishing are embedded within the course. Additionally, the full-time MA program has an articulation agreement with the low-residency MFA in Popular Fiction at Seton Hill University.
