Author's Bio

Stephanie L. Harper earned a B.A. with majors in English and German from Grinnell College, and an M.A. in German literature from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. After a twenty-two year hiatus from academia—during which time she mothered and home schooled two extraordinary children—she entered, and has now completed, the M.F.A. Program at Butler University in Indianapolis, IN. A Best of the Net and four-time Pushcart Prize nominee, Harper is author of the chapbooks, This Being Done (Finishing Line Press) and The Death's-Head's Testament (Main Street Rag). Her poems have appeared or are forthcoming in Slippery Elm Literary Journal, The Night Heron Barks, The Dodge, Crab Creek Review, Resurrection Magazine, Whale Road Review, Laurel Review, Five South (One for the Road), Taos Journal of Poetry, and elsewhere. Additionally, she is the cover artist for Robert Okaji's poetry chapbooks From Every Moment A Second (available at AMAZON) and his forthcoming chapbook, winner of Slipstream Press's 35th Annual Poetry Chapbook Prize, Buddha's Not Talking.
