The 2025 Bread Loaf Translators’ Conference will be held from June 15 to June 21 in the Green Mountains of Ripton, Vermont. The conference, designed for both emerging and established translators, features translation workshops in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction, as well as lectures, craft classes, meetings with editors and agents, and readings by faculty and guests. The faculty includes translators Jennifer Grotz, Anton Hur, Madhu H. Kaza, Aaron Robertson, Damion Searls, and Matvei Yankelevich. Participating publishing professionals include editors Sarah Coolidge (Two Lines Press), Rohan Kamicheril (Farrar, Straus & Giroux), Carolyn Kuebler (New England Review), Tara Parsons (HarperCollins), and Shuchi Saraswat (AGNI) and agent Markus Hoffmann (Regal Hoffmann & Associates). Tuition, which includes lodging and meals, is $2,830. The fee for auditors who do not have a manuscript is $2,450. Financial aid is available. To apply, submit up to eight pages of translated poetry or no more than 4,000 words of translated prose, a copy of the matching selection in the original language, and a brief preface with a $20 application fee by February 1.
