The program offers full funding. Accepted applicants receive full funding if they meet the priority placement application deadline and fill out a teaching assistantship application.
The program offers teaching assistantships, tuition waivers, competitive fellowships, annual creative writing scholarship competitions, competitive administrative opportunities for current students (including Assistant Director of Creative Writing position and Cimarron Review editorships), and graduate teaching assistantships for tutoring in the Writing Center or teaching freshman composition or creative writing.
The program hosts visiting writers and a reading and lecture series. Other features include opportunities to work on the literary magazine Cimarron Review.
The application deadline for funding and priority placement is January 5; the final application deadline is March 1.
