Author's Bio

A New York-based writer, Jodi Sh. Doff’s work frequently includes autobiographical elements of drug-use, alcoholism, and Times Square.

 

Featured in the Sex Worker Literati Reading Series; NYC’s Sex Worker Cabaret; on Sex and Politics (Brooklyn College); the KGB Radio Hour with Ratso Sloman; In Bed with Susie Bright; as part of the street-outreach movement working towards decriminalization of prostitution, she educated and advocated for active addicts and street prostitutes. 

 

She’s studied with Spalding Gray, Louise DeSalvo, Gretchen Cryer, and Stephen Elliott.  A former mentor with the PEN America Prison Writing Program, she was awarded an MFA in Creative Writing from Lesley University where she currently advises a graduate seminar in the art of memoir.
