Maureen Eppstein

Originally from Aotearoa/New Zealand, Maureen Eppstein moved to the US in the late 1960s. She has worked as a journalist and editor and for twenty years wrote and edited administrative policy documents at Stanford University. She is past executive director of the Mendocino Coast Writers Conference and has taught poetry workshops at College of the Redwoods Mendocino Coast Campus and for the Waverley Writers poetry group in Palo Alto, CA. Her poetry has appeared in numerous journals and anthologies, and has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize. Crossing the boundary between the arts and the sciences, her poems have been included in a textbook on computer graphics and geometric modeling and used in a university-level geology course. Her other interests include gardening and observing the wildlife around her home on the Mendocino Coast of California.
