Author's Bio

With undergraduate and graduate degrees in English Literature and Creative Writing, Poetry, from UCLA & UF, I have poems published (Michele Pizarro & Michele Pizarro Harman) in such literary journals and online venues as Quarterly West, The Antioch Review, Midwest Quarterly, Tinderbox Poetry Journal, Sycamore Review, Puerto del Sol, Scablands Books: Lilac City Fairy Tales, Ekphrasis, Commonline Journal, Hoot and Connotation Press (publication includes an interview).

My chapbooks and full-length manuscript have been finalists and semi-finalists in The Walt Whitman Poetry Competition, The National Poetry Series, Finishing Line Press, The BOAAT Press Chapbook competition, and The Concrete Wolf Chapbook Competition. Individual poems have been long-listed and short-listed for The Fish Publishing Poetry Prize, including during the current year, 2022.
