His latest work, Peaches Honey Whiskey, is available now. He also hosts the Objects In This Rearview podcast, available on all platforms. He lives in Bay Ridge.Creighton BlinnCreativity is a drive, almost an obsession, and Creighton Blinn has been spinning stories for as long as he can remember. Whether in prose or poetry, he strives to convey both the personal and universal of his experience. While he never entirely lost interest in constructing narratives, his work orientates more towards the abstract, taking a thought or moment in time and ruminating on them. In this way, he often returns to the transitory, particularly fleeting connections between people. His publications include From the Depths, Conclave, Broad River Review, Wingless Dreamer, Fauxmoir, The Arcade of the Scribes, and Inverted Syntax. He lives in Midwood, Brooklyn.TeaCheretta Stewart aka Tea is a poet based in Bed-Stuy known for performing her poetry barefoot. Her words transforms the small, mundane moments in life into something robust, meaningful and memorable. She began writing poetry at age 5, trying to make sense of the word and to expand her life perspective. Influenced by such iconic writers as Maya Angelou, Toni Morrison and Zora Neale Hurston, she also finds inspiration spending time out in nature and finds joy in delving deeper into the mysteries of physics. Her moniker was derived from a love for all things herbal, including exotic teas.Nikki KramerNikki Kramer lives in bed stuy Brooklyn. She has lived in Brooklyn for most of her life. She tends to gain a lot of inspiration from observing the ordinary street carnival and the ceaseless treadmill of human life around her. She mainly writes creative nonfiction, poetic prose, vignettes and short lyrical fiction. Her work has been influenced most by Patti Smith, Jim Morrison, Maggie Nelson and Anne Carson. She usually writes about time, space, dreams, travel experiences, characters in her environment and inner workings of the mind. She has self-published some image-text zines and also loves to host events, which are usually poetry and music extravaganzas.Katherine DesmondKatherine Desmond, from Bushwick, writes poetry as a form of therapy, finding comfort and refuge in words during times of struggle and heartbreak. She is often inspired by the work of Leonard Cohen. She explores depression, isolation, and fear and love of the unknown in her work.Corinne OlsonCorinne Olson is a poet, herbalist, practicing psychotherapist, kitchen-witch/fairy, lover of dancing and all things magic. She lives in Crown Heights with her fiancé and writes from the space between subway grunge and whimsical surrealism.Calah KellyCalah Kelly is a 29-year-old poet/spoken word artist based in Bed-Stuy. She started writing poetry in 5th grade with her first poem being “don’t judge a book by its cover.” Heavily influenced by Maya Angelou, Calah speaks on indelible experiences, past traumas, and heartbreaks. She doesn’t always rhyme, but she’ll always tell a good story.* ****OPEN MIC Slots from 7-7:30pm and 10:30-11:00pm (Poetry or Spoken Word ONLY.
