Open Books is “a nonprofit social venture that provides literacy experiences for thousands of readers each year through inspiring programs and creative capitalization of books.” The store stocks over seventy thousand donated books, including ten thousand kids’ books. The proceeds of Open Books' used book sales support their literacy programs for students across Chicago.
