The program offers a wide variety of courses including genre fiction, literary journal editing, narrative journalism, young adult writing, and scriptwriting. Students have the opportunity to focus on a Poetry, Fiction, Young Adult-Middle Grade Fiction, or Creative Nonfiction track and/or to take courses freely across genres. Students may take all coursework fully online, or they may choose to include up to one hybrid class per term (which is offered both virtually and on campus in St. Charles, Missouri). The program hosts student readings and a “Craft Talk” series with visiting writers.
