Author's Bio

Florence Fogelin’s most recent publication was in Prairie Schooner (summer 2018). Her poems have appeared in journals including The Florida Review, Cumberland Poetry Review, and Poet Lore and have been featured on websites by Poetry Daily and Women’s Voices for Change. She has been a finalist for the Gell Prize by Writers & Books and semi-finalist for Word Work’s Washington Prize.

 

Her book, Once It Stops (Deerbrook Editions, 2015), was a finalist in Foreword Press’s IndieFab Poetry Book of the Year 2016 competition. She has also published a chapbook, Facing the Light (Redgreene Press, 2001).

 

She has published in several anthologies: 2001: A Science Fiction Poetry Anthology; Birchsong: Poetry Centered in Vermont, editions 1 and 2and Breath of Parted Lips: Voices from the Frost Place. Two poems were included in the recent Roads Taken: Contemporary Vermont Poetry.

 

Previously at the News Bureau of Yale University and editor of a weekly newspaper at Dartmouth College, she lives in Hanover, NH.
