Author's Bio

Alicia Mathias is a lover and writer, of poetry and vignettes. She is also a singer, a photographer, and an artist. Alicia is appreciative, that her work is published, in these fine literary journals: Ann Arbor Review, Chiron Review, Clockwise Cat, The Bitter Oleander, Rye Whiskey Review, Four Feathers Press City Living, Sore Dove Press, Unlikely Stories Mark V, The Porter Gulch Review, The Canopy Review, Newington Blue Press, Voices from the Fire, Setu Bilingual Journal, bradlaughsfinger, Sweetycat Press, Dumpster Fire Press, Writing Waters Global, Bards of a Feather Bird Anthology, Fearless, Four Feathers Press, Spirits and Specters, Tales of Southern California, Galaxy Brain, and elsewhere. Alicia has new poetry, and art, forthcoming in several journals. She has had her artwork featured on journal covers, has composed four full-length poetry manuscripts, and is working on her fifth. She has also created two mixed-media chapbooks. Alicia enjoys writing each day, as well as working on her collage projects, and photography, with Zeppelin the Wonder Cat, by her side. Most recently, she finished writing a chapbook of forty-four poems, entitled: The Wild Pendulum, dedicated to her late, and beloved father. Her goals are to teach creative writing, create an exemplary poetry journal, that will add many more poets, and their work to the community, as well as having her full-length poetry manuscripts: "Piñata in E minor," "Requiem for a Lost Love," "Aftermath," "The Sorcerer," "Chiaroscuro," and "No Names For These Rivers," published in the near future. Alicia's poem, My Black Leather Mini-Skirts, was nominated by 'Rye Whiskey Press,' for "Best of the Net." She also won the Artistic Poetry Award, from Meet the Poets! Warmest wishes, and thanks, to all. Poetry lives! Carpe Diem!
