Author's Bio

Halley M. Cotton is a poet and naturalist from Birmingham, Alabama. She is the managing editor of the Birmingham Poetry Review, contributing editor for NELLE, and production manager for both journals. Cotton is the recipient of an Alabama State Council on the Arts poetry fellowship and used the grant to fund The Cahaba Project—a solo 11-day, 180-mile kayking trip down the Cahaba River. She teaches at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
