Editorial Focus
Blue Mesa Review is a literary magazine published by the creative writing department at the University of New Mexico. It accepts previously unpublished work in fiction, nonfiction, poetry, book reviews, interviews, graphic novels, and cover art. With a rotating editorial board, each issue is unique.

In general, we are seeking strong voices and lively, compelling narrative with a fine eye for craft.
We do accept simultaneous submissions, but we ask to be informed immediately if your work is accepted elsewhere. Also, please do not send multiple submissions; wait for us to respond to your manuscript before sending another. Please read our submission guidelines for more information on formatting.
