Sara Baker’s fiction and poetry have appeared or are forthcoming in the Southern Poetry Review; New Ohio Review; Texas Review, Poetry East; The Maine Review; Crab Orchard Review ; Cleaver; Confrontation; The 2011 Hippocrates Prize for Poetry and Medicine; Stone, River, Sky: An Anthology of Georgia Poems; and elsewhere. Her stories have been short-listed for the Bridport and Fish prizes. She is the author of a novel, The Timekeeper’s Son, and her first novel, Second Son, was one of eight finalists in the 1996 Hemingway Days First novel contest. A playwright, her work has been performed at the University of Georgia, aired on BBC and NPR, and has been a finalist for the Cinestory awards.
